REGISTERED CHILDREN'S YOGA TEACHER (RCYT) 95 HOUR *YOGA ALLIANCE* TRAINING

"Because our youth deserve dedicated, knowledgeable yoga instructors that know how to manage and support their ever changing bodies, minds, and world.  The RCYT 95 Hour Teacher Training will provide you the comprehensive knowledge to care, create and support our youth in a variety of settings for maximum success." - Jessica Kos Birney

This in-depth training is for people who know that they want to be a fully certified
Children’s Yoga Teacher by a nationally recognized organization, Yoga Alliance.
Yoga Alliance is the only nationally recognized certifying body for yoga schools and teachers
in the United States.  In 2015 YA outlined new requirements for RCYS
(Registered Children’s Yoga Schools) and RCYTs (Registered Children’s Yoga Teachers)
and is no longer recognizing “grandfathered” training and teaching hours.

These requirements then gave rise to the new, stronger, and more comprehensive teacher trainings that are working to elevate the teaching practices and execution of the children’s yoga industry.

Right now, you CAN work as a children’s yoga teacher with a weekend intensive training.

And yet, after taking a weekend intensive and having taught children’s yoga class, I know that I’m excited, interested, and eager to learn so much more.  I want to be a RCYT!

RCYS-AROUND-BLACK.jpg

To complete a RCYT training with Young Yokes, you will need to complete the full series of workshops,
all four in total and all outside assignments.

These FOUR trainings are:

  • Foundations: Kids Yoga Teacher Training Intensive

  • RCYT: Early Childhood Teacher Training

  • RCYT: Adolescence Teacher Training

  • RCYT: Deep Dive (Special Populations, Yoga Philosophy & More)

Foundations: Kids Yoga Teacher Training is required as the first workshop that you will need to take. However,
after that you can take the additional three in any order that works for you and your schedule.

After finishing each workshop you will receive a certificate of completion.  You will also be asked to complete additional homework, like in-class observations and teaching.  You will receive a certificate of completion for the
RCYT 95 Hour Teacher Training once you have completed all four trainings and your additional outside work.

Pay as you go or take advantage of our bundle pricing and take the time that you need to complete this journey.  Some of you may only want to take the trainings that you need and that is great.  All works with us!
